NEWS: Demon Slayer Mugen Train Is Now Japan’s Highest Grossing Film on Weekend, Exceeding 2.3 Billion Yen!

Film has already surpassed ‘Spirited Away’ (1.05 billion yen) and ‘Weathering With You’ (1.18 billion yen), as a highest grossing opening weekend.

The highest ever grossing film in Japan on opening weekend is Frozen (1.93 billion yen).

From here on, Kimetsu no Yaiba will be making a new record for highest grossing film in Japan.

Kimetsu no Yaiba is already scheduled to be released in 7 more countries including Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunel, Myanmar and Indonesia.

✓ Vietnam (Jan 2021)
✓ Brunel (Feb 4, 2021)

✓ Philippines (Feb 2021)
✓ Indonesia (Feb 2021)
✓ Malaysia (Feb 4, 2021)

For North America, Release date has been announced as “Early 2021” by funimation. For other regions no release date has been announced yet.
