The latest chapter of My Hero Academia is nearly upon us! And as we all know with a nearing release date come spoilers and leaks! Chapter 348 Recap
Before we jump into spoilers for chapter 349 let’s do a quick recap of what went down in the most recent chapter of the series, titled, ‘Unrequited.’ Be sure to read the chapter yourself, you can find it for free, and officially down below!
The chapter starts us off with Toga’s confession of love to Deku. And through that confession, her admiration and obsession with him are revealed. Of course, Deku rejects her approaches but only after sympathizing with her, especially since he used to be much like her (in a less dangerous sense of course).
This angers Toga as she yells that Deku is just like her parents and just like Uraraka. And as she leaps out at Deku she tells him that this is the exact reason the two of them are destined to remain apart. Uraraka is able to stop Toga’s attack but the villain quickly spins on Uraraka instead of attacking her. She also yells out that she was sure Uraraka would understand her since they fell for the same-THUD!
Toga doesn’t get to finish her sentence, rather she gets a kick in the face. From Froppy! Froppy lands and tells the two heroes present to stop wasting time. Deku needs to get to Shigaraki’s “cage” now before it’s too late, even if he has to run remotely to get there.
And with that, the chapter comes to a close as Deku zips off leaving Toga behind in his dust. As for what happens next? Well, let’s find out!
Chapter 349 Spoilers
Now that we are all caught up, let’s dive right into chapter 349. Warning, however, some raws for the upcoming chapter are already out so there are confirmed spoilers below, you have been warned.
The upcoming chapter seems to kick us off with Deku using a combination of float, fujin and air force to fly across the ocean. He would be going at 100% OFA power but the second user told him three things his suit can’t handle 100%, he doesn’t know if Deku himself can handle 100%, and lastly, he should save his max power as a last-ditch effort against Shigaraki. The 2nd user also tells Deku to take the safest route to Shigaraki’s “cage” even if it means taking longer, he should save his true strength to fight.
Back in Toga’s cage, we see Froppy and Uraraka happy and relieved that Deku left. On the contrary, Toga is losing her patience and is very upset. Without wasting any time she pulls out Twice’s blood sample and faces off against Uraraka, telling her she will do anything to defeat here.
With that little tease, we jump over to a much hotter battle. That’s right we get a little peek at what’s happening over in Dabi’s “cage.” Both Dabi and his hero brother Todoroki are fully powered up and throwing blows at each other. Meanwhile, the other heroes that are present are fighting the remaining Nomu that all have a quirk allowing them to make needles come out of their bodies?!
We also see Iida attempting to try and help Todoroki in his battle, but it’s dangerous due to the flames, especially since he has boots full of engine oil wrapped around him. As Dabi hangs on a statue of All Might, Todoroki comes near and the villainous brother yells out that he’s being manipulated by their father.
However, Todoroki answers that he is here all by his own choice. Disappointed Dabi begins to fly up in the sky, staring down at all the sidekicks and heroes here to defeat him and his allies. Todoroki follows him but instead of fighting, he asks one simple question. Why didn’t you return after the incident? As the chapter ends Dabi starts laughing whilst his skin falls off during heat, finally he answers Todoroki’s question. Should I reveal the true past of me, the greatest masterpiece ever?!
And with that the chapter comes to a close, leaving us with more questions than answers. Questions we hope to find the answer to next week!

Release Date
My Hero Academia 349 is currently expected to release Sunday, March 27th, 2022. As of the writing of this article, there have been no announced delays to the upcoming chapter. Meaning that the official English release of My Hero Academia will most likely stick to schedule and release on Sunday as usual.
