One of the best things about One Piece series is the balance of power between the protagonist and antagonist of the series. At no point in the series, fans feel like the victory wasn’t hard earned by the protagonist. When it comes to the biggest threats Luffy has to face time and time, Navy is right at the top of the list. The admirals of the Navy are seen as the unbeatable justice warriors. Have you ever wondered, how these admirals will look like if they existed in our world?
A Reddit user Envi2Hands tried to quench our curiosities by sharing his creation of real life admirals. He used the artificial intelligence of the artbreeder program to bring life to these anime characters. The post was shared on One Piece subreddit, and it has already collected more than 3.7k upvotes. You can see the admiral Akainu, Fujitoro, Kizaru and the former admiral, Akainu.
Another interesting thing to notice is that all the admiral that One Piece creator drew are inspired from real life actors. In fact, Akainu is based on a Japanese actor, Bunta Sugawara, who Oda considers as the most handsome man in the world. Aokiji is confirmed to be based on the late Japanese actor, Yasaku Matsuda. Kizaru is based on Japanese actor, Kunie Tanaka, who died in 2021.
What are your thoughts on this AI based real life One Piece characters? With the rapid advancement in AI, who knows we might see a real life One Piece action movie without using any ‘real life’ actors. One Piece upcoming film titled “One Piece Red” is scheduled to release in Japan on August 6.
One Piece anime is based on a manga of the same name, written and drawn by Eiichiro Oda. He started publishing the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump since 1997. So far, the manga has received more than 1000 chapters. An anime series produced by Toei Animation has already produced more than 1000 episodes. Netflix is currently developing a live action series based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga.
