Vinland Saga season 2 is one of the most anticipated anime series. If you are a manga fan, you know that Vinland Saga pacing and story will take almost 180 degree turn. Some fans had doubts that given the upcoming arcs are slow paced, the season 2 of the anime might skip some of the content. Thankfully, the author of the series has cleared these doubts. Now fans can rest assured that season 2 won’t skip any material from the manga.
Through the official twitter account, Makoto Yukimura quoted a tweet (The original quote said that there are some rumors that season 2 will take a different direction from the manga) and said:
“You don’t have to worry. The animation production team respects the original material very much. Thank you for enjoying Vinland Saga”
When season 2 will be released?
On July 7, 2021, the official Twitter account of Vinland Saga announced that the series will be getting a 2nd season. Unfortunately, there is still no news on the released date yet.
According to many unofficial sources, the second season of Vinland Saga could arrive in early 2022. Just like the first season, the 2nd season will be animated by Wit Studio.
Thankfully, Vinland Saga season 2 trailer has been released. Although the trailer doesn’t spoil that much of what will happen next, you can see the iconic animation style of Wit Studio.
Where to start the manga after the anime?
If you can’t wait any longer for season 2, you can start reading manga where the anime left off.
The first season of the Vinland Saga adapted till chapter 54 of the manga, so you can start reading from chapter 55 right away. Currently, the manga has more than 180 chapters, so there is more than enough material to enjoy.
