Vinland Saga Season 2 Production Reportedly Shifting To Mappa

Vinland Saga anime series is one of the brand faces for Wit Studio. After the announcement of Vinland Saga season 2, fans were expecting that season 2 will also be done by the Wit Studio who produced the first season. However, according to the recent rumours, it looks like we will be getting a new studio, not only for season 2 but for the rest of the remaining series.

Previously, it was revealed that the core staff that worked on Vinland Saga, has moved from Wit Studio to Mappa. This studio change news came from the manga creator, Yukimura and the anime director Shuhei Yabuta, who held a conversation with the fans on Twitter space. It was confirmed that the anime staff is now editing the trailer for season 2. So, the trailer for Vinland Saga is expected to release soon. The voice recordings are also in the process.

The good news for fans is that the original staff that worked on season 1, will remain the same for season 2. Meaning it is less likely to have any drastic changes in the anime quality. The director of the series is planning to animate the manga till the end eventually.

Manga author, Yukimuro said that fans should prepare for darker days ahead. The recent chapter of the manga was a Joy to readers, but it will not last long. The next chapters will show a lot of agony and suffering, according to the author.
